II. What is personal data?

  1. Personal data encompasses any details and information relating to an identified or identifiable individual (name, address, date of birth, etc.). In the context of websites this also includes, for example, email addresses and the visitor’s IP address.
  2. This Privacy Policy applies only to this landing page and has no bearing whatsoever on third-party websites, products or services, even though you may be directed to third-party content via a link from our landing page. In this context, we do not accept any responsibility for the content of any third-party websites, products or services. 

III. Purpose

  1. The primary purpose of this landing page is to inform you about our company, products and services.
  2. You can then get in touch with us using the contact form provided. The information you provide, such as your last name, email address, zip code, country and responsible BEMER partner, will be stored by us for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. It will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required, unless subject to statutory retention periods which necessitate its continuous and (and possibly limited) storage, or unless it is directly related to a contract or the conclusion of a contract between you and the Company. In the latter case, the data relating to your inquiry will be stored with the respective contract documents.

IV. Personal data that is processed when you simply browse our landing page

  1. You can visit our landing page without directly informing us of your identity. For example, when using the landing page for purely informative purposes, our web servers automatically store information that your browser sends to us. The basis for this storage is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We require the collected information for technical reasons – namely, to display our landing page and to ensure its stability and security. The following data is collected:

      • Requesting provider
      • Website
      • Date and time of access
      • Transferred data volume
      • Message confirming successful retrieval
      • Browser type and version
      • Operating system
      • Referrer URL or previously visited website
    1. We reserve the right to subsequently review the above-mentioned data only if, based on concrete evidence, there is a justified suspicion of illegal use of our landing page. This data will not be disclosed to third parties, unless such disclosure is stipulated in this Privacy Policy (see VI and XI).
    2. The data listed above will be automatically deleted after a fixed period of 14 months.

V. Cookies

  1. With the exception of the following list, no “cookies” are used on our landing page:
    1. For the sake of clarity, it should be mentioned here that we technically use two cookies, however they do not process personal data and are instead merely used to
      1. determine whether – and record the fact that – a cookie notice was displayed, and
      2. determine the appropriate file size of the images on our landing page in order to optimize the download speed and required quality of the landing page.

VII. Authorized third parties in connection with our landing page

  1. Within the scope of operating the landing page, the Company involves third parties as necessary. In such cases, the Company will disclose additional personal data relating to you to said third parties to the extent required for this purpose. 
  2. Within the scope of operating the landing page, the personal data that we require from the data subjects is namely: first and last name, zip code, country, email address. These third parties may only use this information to perform their respective functions on our behalf.

    • the right to information;
    • the right of correction if the data is incorrect;
    • the right of deletion, provided that there are no overriding legal provisions;
    • the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted;
    • the right to object to the processing of your personal data; and
    • the right to data portability.
  2. Please note that these rights are not absolute and that we may be authorized to refuse requests in exceptional circumstances. Finally, for the sake of clarity, it should be mentioned again that you also have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your data.
